The one where a robot take over candidate sourcing.
Project Overview
Indeed Hire was a pay-per-hire recruiting service that leverages human expertise and tech to deliver hires.

In order to offer a competitive price for staffing services, the team sought ways to grow the business without growing the team of internal recruiters. In order for those unit economics to work, a key approach was to stop spending recruiter hours and advertising dollars on candidate sourcing.

Given our machine learning models that include candidate activity and resume data, how might we eliminate the need for manual sourcing and spending?
My Contributions
As a Senior Product Manager, I met with the Software Engineer to understand why the team had not shipped this new product experience to date. From there, I came up with a simple MVP concept that leveraged an existing machine learning model along with some basic logic for routing applications. We shipped the MVP in a few days and get measurable results.

Following the success of the MVP, I led product development for subsequent iterations that tackled aspects of candidate volume and quality.

Outcome

This feature resulted in our sourcing costs dropping from thousands of dollars per month to $0.
